The information below is simply rough notes collected in the course of my researching.
Puzzling artist - some of her rolls sound identical to Hilda Myers, the others sound quite different.
The 'different' ones have an up-tempo onesteppy sound.
'Elk Grove Herald' of 7th June 1967 features an article about a teenage singer, Mary Beth Klopp, and
mentions "Her grandmother was Ruth Petelle, lyric soprano concert singer, who had her own Chicago KYW
radio program from 1927 to 1931. Then with the arrival of Mary Beth's mother Betty, her grandmother turned to
the piano under the name Ruth Mack".
This would seem to big a coincidence to be anyone else - but why do some of the Mack rolls sound exactly
like Hilda Myers if Mack was a real person?
Ruth Petelle, Soprano appears in radio listings for Chicago in June and October 1924.
First Mack rolls are July 1924, last January 1927 (which was the last month of Vocalstyle production).
Two matches in SSDI -
Ruth Petelle, 22 May 1901 - March 1972, Oak Lawn Illinois
Ruth Marie Petelle, 14 Dec 1897 - 8 Jan 1983, La Verne Los Angeles California (SSN issued Illinois 1954-55).
This one was born Wisconsin and mother had maiden name 'Magill' (father Campbell). Magill = Mack?
1930 Census: Ruth M. Petelle, born 1898 Wisconsin, married to Paul N. (lamp mfg. clerk) around 1918, with children
Francis A., Rosemary L., and Margaret A. Living in Chicago, no profession. Father born Wisconsin, Mother born Illinois
(1920 census says born Germany).

No matches for Ruth Mack 1880-1900 in Ohio in 1920 & 1930 Census.
