Yet another Standard artist about whom nothing can be discovered. I recently found Arto roll #314, played by Hallan, entitled 'Listen To The Knocking At The Knitting Club', a 1917 foxtrot composed by Von Tilzer, with words by Bert Hanlon. Hanlon was a popular songwriter and vaudeville actor based in New York, born August 19, 1890 as Abraham Handelsman. He died January 1, 1972.

Could this possibly be the real identity of Bert Hallan?
